Rest day

Miyazaki City

Finally the first rest day

Finally the first rest day

Estimated arrival: May 17, 2027
174 km walked - 2,748 km left to go

Ideally, I would have started this walk with a shorter stretch to soften the initial blow on my body.

Unfortunately, the cities and lodging options along the way were quite limited 🤷‍♂️

Let's hope that my body will cope well.

Meet and share

After several days on the road, I want this rest day to be about more than physical recovery and laundry 😅.

I hope to meet some local residents, share stories and talk about the people who helped us go further. With permission, I may also record a few individual conversations for Japan 2027.

If you would like to take part or help make it happen, write to me at contact@wtft.life.

What stayed with me

Walking creates time for ordinary moments to become questions.

After I arrive, I will share insights from this part of the journey that challenged an assumption, changed how I saw something or revealed a possibility I had not considered.

Through local eyes

I am looking for someone local who can help me see beyond a visitor's first impression, ideally a bilingual content creator who shares the desire to celebrate the people who believed in us.

You would help me understand the area, introduce me to people worth meeting and share this part of the journey with your community.

In return, you will be featured as the local voice of Japan 2027 in your area, with your profile and work shared through the campaign.

Interested? Write to me at contact@wtft.life.
